6 Week Pottery Class for Adults

Adults 18+ 6 week class Mondays October 7th, 2024- November 11th, 2024 6-8pm $40 a class = $240 +One time purchase of box of clay on your own- $40 Requirements: Must have taken a beginner wheel class. Class doesn’t have to have been taken with Jessie, but must share when and where you have thrown on the wheel prior to the class. If you haven’t, feel free to sign up to take a beginner class before this 6 wk class begins! Explore clay outside of just a 1.5 hr beginner class. This is a 6 week 2 hr long class that will happen once a week focusing on honing your clay centering abilities, opening, pulling and shaping on the wheel. We will explore additional techniques to add flair or additional functionality to your pots— Focal points on trimming feet, shaping or pulling handles, in addition to a few different glazing techniques. The goals of this class are: #1- Encourage deeper comfort working at the wheel. #2- Gain new techniques on and off the wheel #3- Develop deeper confidence in clay practice What I Provide: All studio tools -Wheel -Tools -Sponges -Buckets -Aprons -Glaze -Kiln Firings All you will need: -Your own 50lb box of Amaco Buff Stoneware #46 clay
